    You know when....(irefay artzscway).

I'm usually not in favor of dumping coaches, but I have no idea what's going on in there lately.

    BRING BACK THE BLITZ!!!!

In order to turn things around in a short period of time you have to draft well. At this point it looks like several of our recent drafts are going to be total busts.

I've been impressed with what Marvin Lewis was able to do in Cincinnati. Not sure if they made it in the playoffs in 3 yrs, but the Bengals were the lowest of the low for over a decade until he got there.

    Creeping cruds...

Your question doesn't apply to anything since most coaches get fired after reaching rock bottom. Jeff fisher has to take some responsibility for how horrible we have been the last 18 games..

An easier question is how many coaches take over a horrible team and are in contention within 3 years and the answer is dozens have. Jim mora took over a 3-13 colt team and went 3-13 his first year but 13-3 his second. I don't think we would consider mora an all time great coach.

Joe gibbs fits your description in a partial way. He took over a team that was 6-10 the previous year and promptly lost his first 5 games! Then the redskins went 8-3 the rest of the season for an 8-8 record and went on to win a super bowl the following year..

If you are suggesting it is impossible to get this low and rebound with the same coach you may have a point. We should fire fisher then?

    Shananhan had several "down" years...

After a three year run where the broncos averaged a 13-3 record and won 2 super bowls shanahan's broncos had ONE 6-10 season. They were back in the playoffs the following year. Shanahan did have another "down" year when his team went 8-8.

Maybe that's the difference between shanahan and fisher. When shanahan's team is rebuilding they are still competitive. Exceptional coaches don't produce the kind of crap we have been seeing in the titans..

    The fine art of rebuilding?

If the titans consider this a rebuilding year then why have we brought in 6 veteran free agent players?

    Thornton-5th
    Hope-5th
    Mawae-13th
    Givens--5th
    Robaire smith--7th
    Kerry collins--12th

That's an average of 7.8 years per man..

Is that how you rebuild? Seems that we have a team that is largly built. It just so happens that the contributions from those 6 guys so far has been very poor..
