Osweiler will be younger than him by the time he hits his first practice.... And will be in the league already three years. The learning curve is steep.

1 game. Seriously 1 missed game and I'm totally done with him. That may seem ridiculous but we're talking about a guy who has never completed a full season. You simply aren't going to win consistently with a guy like that behind center.

Locker desperately needs to prove that he can be counted on for 16(+) games. IMO that's priority #1. Even more so than on the field improvement.

 

I think Whiz is looking to see Jake's toughness first hand. As soon as he sees how easy it is for Jake to get injured he will be ready to go another direction. Jake has set the precedent with his missed games over his career since we drafted him and this is why I believe Whiz will definitely have a better backup plan at QB than Whitehurst. Honestly, I think he will make that decision in his mind after the first game out but will outwardly let 6 games go by before he even hints at going that different direction.
