    I lurked for a few years before signing up in '05.
    Before that, i just went to the Titans website, not realizing how much "official" news sucks. You get no rumors, no nothing.

    Well... since we have a lot of new members, I shall tell the tale of this site for those interested.

    This started out as the "Tennessee Oilers Fan Page". Our own Titanium ran it and it dates back to the team when they played in Memphis (T, correct me if I'm wrong) in '97. Once the team name was announced in '99, it became the "Tennessee Titans Fan Page".

    In early 2000, I started a site called "Titans12thMan". It was more focused on the fans and tailgating. I went to a gathering put together by the TTFP and got to know a few of those members.

    In 2001, I got a ceist and desist letter from Texas A&M that I was infringing on their "12th Man" copyright. At that time, they went hard after anyone using it. Since my team of lawyers was busy with another case, I was forced to find another domain name on and got lucky finding "goTitans" had just come available. In the meantime, I had gotten to know Titanium pretty well as a member of her forum and we eventually merged the two and called "goTitans".

    We switched to vBulletin to run the forum in May 2002 and the rest, as they say, is history.

    I visited the Tomb alot back in the day...sometime after it vanished my son told me about this site...I tried it once but was still kinda bumbed by the loss of the Tomb and held out hope that it would somehow be resurrected. Fast forward to this year. My son again mentioned this site and that I REALLY should give it a try. Clearly I listened.

    I was one of the earliest members of Tennessee Oilers Fan Page that Titanium started around 1997, she was known as Lady Oiler back then, I was Tennessee Football Fan.

    I joined goTitans in 2003, before that there was a site called The Flame Pit run by a poster called Disco (later changed to Bluebeard).

    Those early days were great, a small diehard group...

    I heard about a site where they awarded banana stickers for good posts.. Those eventually changed to HIGH FIVES. Who are these Titans you speak of?
