So you use a Yahoo! analysis of the draft as proof that you guys did a good job? :ha:

Paul Williams had 1048 yards in FIVE years in school. That isn't really very impressive.

    Jacoby Jones had...

    http://www.thesiac.com/stats06-07/football/LANE.HTM

Jacoby had 89 net yards rushing on 9 attemps for a 9.9 per carry avg with 1 TD.

Jacoby had 822 yards receiving on 68 catches for a 12.1 per catch avg with 6 TDs

Jacoby had 330 yards on punts returned on 24 attemps for a 13.8 per return avg with 1 TD

Jacoby had 848 yards on Kick returns on 38 attemps for a 22.3 per return avg with 2 TDs. His longest kick return was 85 yards.

He also lead the team with 2089 all purpose yards.

And don't ask me how, but he also is credited with 1/2 a sack.

    ...last year.

Now let me see, 1048 yards receiving in FIVE years or 2089 all purpose yards in ONE season. Yeah it is clear which one will be better in the Pros.

I also love how this "writer" takes no consideration into the fact that if Shammy is a bust it blows next years draft too.

Do college players get more years of eligibility because they attend the school longer ...... ?

Flamer you do realize that there were quotes from TWO different articles don't you. I have more but I know that TENNheads only believe the good ones about their team so there is no real reason to post any more. Just like what you are doing now. Tearing down someone who gets paid to analize football teams because you believe that you are a greater football mind and "writer". It is a typical response by someone who grasping for straws.

As far as your comment about Paula Williams going to school for 5 years and only playing for 4, I don't know why he didn't play as a freshman. It can't be because he didn't have skills because they put him on the field after that and he only showed anything in year 4. So it is debatable if he has any skills now.

I merely asked a few questions and brought up an obvious flaw in his logic. Yes the second writer makes the point about the price for Shammy and give them a C- grade not a B+. The Yahoo! guy went way out on a limb by calling the Texans draft a B+, you know it, I know it ......... just admit it.

My point was you capitalized FIVE like it was some magic number and he had played an additional year to compile those stats which is flat out wrong.

Funny how I question the guys analysis skills and I am "grasping for straws" while you question a player who was just drafted into the NFL's playing skills. (they don't have the smiley on this board that fits here)

If you want to give mad props to some "player" who managed 1048 yards in 5 years go for it. It just seems illogical to make it sound like our guy has a worse "upside"
when if anything he has a better upside.

I have to admit,under-roos your pathetic squad did a better job in the draft this year, but then again there was no Reggie Bush to pass on this time. Next year when you are picking ,(what seems like every year) in the top 5, maybe tell the scouts( cause we know you have such mad skills and insight)to do a little research....nevermind just keep doing what you have been doing, seems to be working out just fine....................for the good guys!!!!
