To be fair Casserley frustration aside, a new coaching staff almost always makes wholesale changes to the roster as they put their own stamp on the team.

The David Carr nightmare was a handicap that dragged on forever.

David Carr, trading a 2nd rounder for Phillip Buchannon, trading up for DE Jason Babins, a 2nd rounder for Tony Hollings, Vernand Morency, paying RT Todd Wade a huge contract, along with several others that didnt pan out, passing up a OT for DT TRavis Johnson,etc,ect... the list goes on and on. Casserly ruined this team from the get go.

Conversely... sound drafting so far and no wasted big contracts. Solid free agent pick ups for depth purposes and creating competition. Steady growth which is creating a very talented young team for the future.

Which FA pick up of Green or Dayne was a "solid" pickup?

    I have to agree.

Casserley seemed to have the headless chicken approach. There never seemed to be a plan on how to build the team.

Kubiaks system will either work or it won't but the team now has a clear sense of direction. I always believe the quickest way to turn a team around is to shore up the D & then work from that.

Teams that try to fill all the holes at once never seem to get anywhere. Bengals,Raiders,Cards,Jets,Phins,Falcons etc.

Even so, the old 40 yrs & no SB argument is tired & weak. There are still only 17 teams that have won it & 7 teams have yet to make it to the bowl as losers.

Its hard to argue against it working. I do know nothing is for sure, and we will see. But heck, just having Andre Johnson back for a full season will make us a better team than last year... forget everything else (draft, free agents, new coaches, etc). He is the best player on our team and a huge playmaker.

Now, in regards to the playoffs, superbowls,etc... your boy Blazing Arrow jumped in with a comment I had to counteract. Thats all.
