    That we can get him back for cheap if he wants to come back.

    Any takers?

    I say it can't hurt depth at all to put him in certain packages like we did last year. One or two cheap years in case Babs goes down sounds good to me.

    I never got a good feel for how much his skills declined last season. If he can still play at a high level, he'd be solid depth.

    I'm guessing they'll wait until after the draft before bringing him back if they do.

    He's getting old, and it's showing. I like the guy, but unfortunately he's not the right fit anymore.

    He's beginning to miss time because of injuries, he can't run anymore.

    It really couldn't hurt that much to sign him for cheap as depth.

    We're going into the season relying on one aging safety that is average in coverage why not carry Hope too?

    If we don't get a young guy in the draft that can eventually take over like Jeff talked about - make it happen.

    He would at least provide some familiarity.

    For Chris Hope it's about $825,000. I think the number fluctuates based on time in the league.

    That figure is way up because of the new CBA. It used to be half that before the new agreement was reached last summer.
