does the media ever question the coach's why Lamont is still starting?

the media loves to ask questions about who's playing and starting at QB...what about the other positions (namely, MLB, Saftey, CB, Oline)...

Thompson has that size, speed combination that coaches covet. I don't think he has the instincts though. Lowry looks to be getting more comfortable in there so hopefully he may begin to press LT a little.

Lamont has a media fan, i'm sure that is what helps him avoid their wrath.

Even I noticed the bad and busted plays! I also noticed that today there was no mention of his bad performance in the newspaper.

Can C. Finnegan play the safety position?
I think we need to keep that guy on the field.
Bench Lamont, stick Cortland out there in the open field and put Fuller back in at nickel.

btw... I noticed Finnegan had his first pick on national TV yesterday! (... his nose, that is).

Let him pick anything else he wants as long as he plays like he did yesterday. Ha

Thompson stinks in coverage, he stinks in tackling. Twice yesterday he had both arms around Brown and Brown still kept pushing and added 4-5 yards to the carry. Hope on the other hand had an excellent game, both tackling and in coverage. He's getting more comfortable back there. Where's Vince Fuller?

you ask and you shall receive...

(on S Lamont Thompson’s missed tackle on Marty Booker allowing for a large gain)

He had several opportunities in the game. He had that one. That was a quick throw outside. That’s the right place to go when the corner comes off, Lamont’s got to go make the tackle. That’s the design of the defense. You have to make those plays. Obviously he’s been put on notice along with the rest of the guys that weren’t making those type of plays in the defensive scheme that we needed to.
