Rookie QB + Great Defensive line + Crowd noise + Big game = likely bad news for ravens.

All we've gotta do is win the turnover ratio in this one.

It would be a pretty big win for Fluke-o to pull another road victory out as a rookie. Not going to happen.

Thanks for the welcome. Besides Ed being great on returns our entire defense practices what they need to do after an interception. You'll notice that Reed had a convoy of blockers heading into the end zone.

I'll keep an eye on Griffin on Saturday. A lot of people have Reed's physical ability, if Griffin wants to be great he should learn how Reed prepares each week, the way he watches film, and the way he trains in the offseason.

There are a couple of factors here.

    1) When Harbaugh first arrived he wanted to be the opposite of Billick's cream puff style. Warranted or not he told Heap he blocks like a *****, and stuck him next to the tackles until he saw what he wanted.

    2) We have a very young offensive line and a rookie QB, he was blocking a lot more for protection, and because it took us awhile to open up the offensive playbook. We brought Flacco along slowly.

    3) Flacco took awhile to look for his 2nd and 3rd options after Mason, who he established a comfort level with early. Recently he has begun to look Heap's way, and his numbers have gone up as a result.

    4) Heap hasn't played great. He hasn't held on to everything like he used to, although he's still a very good route runner and gets open on the regular. He dropped a TD yesterday he should've had. Whether that is because it's tough to get into a rhythm when you so rarely go out to pass catch, or because he has lost something due to age, I'm not sure.

I suspect that Heap still has it and can still be a force as Flacco improves, even though his numbers do not look great. I hope we look to him early and often on Saturday.

About Reed's second pick, yea not only did he jump that from 10 yards out, he actually started on the opposite side of the field, and based on the crazy amount of game film he watches knew where Pennington was going.

Ed Reed does not need to teleport because he is omnipresent!

    I can't wait!!!!

I haven't seen anybody really put Ray Ray on his *** all year so I find this doubtful, we'll see though.

P.S. I hate getting into this debate so I will only say this once. Ray Lewis is not a murderer. He was deservedly found guilty for obstruction of justice, and afterward cooperated fully with the police to give the necessary information to solve the case, even if it meant putting his child hood friends behind bars.

The courts found him not guilty of murder, another man was found guilty for that murder, the family of the victim does not believe that Ray was the murderer and actually has a great relationship with him now. Anyone who says Ray Lewis is a murderer must know better than the courts who heard the case and all of the evidence, the man who I believe eventually admitted to the murder, and the family of the victim who were obviously as intimately entwined with the case as anyone.

Since that night he has been a changed man. He ditched his thuggish posse that helped take care of him as a kid. He does an amazing amount of charity work for the city of Baltimore. He speaks to NFL rookies about his mistakes and how to become a man and surround yourself with positive people.

So it really grinds my gears when people take cheap shots at him, I don't expect it stop, and you're welcome to question his past and current character, but please don't say things that clearly aren't true. Ray Lewis is not a murderer.

(That was not directed at anyone specific, just had to get it off my chest)

    Mashedtater is right about Ray...
Ray Lewis is a good example to the thugs of the league, like Pacman, to what they should be like.
I have respect for how Lewis has conducted his life since his legal troubles...

I think the Ravens are a solid team and Reed is just flat out nasty but i dont know why everyone(media)is giving them all this praise for that win yesterday. Miami was outmatched on both sides of the ball espically offensively. Chad made some god awful throws and their O-line couldnt handle a 3 man rush. I'm tired of hearing this "nothin rattles Flacco" crap because Miami couldnt even get a sniff of the guys jock strap. Miami is a young team and it showed yesterday on how they played.

That is true that Pennington gift wrapped 2 of those INTs- they fell out of the sky like an autumn leaf. But nobody can deny that Reed smoked that one in the middle. I hope Kerry has put in some game film on Reed's tendencies and can exploit his overtly aggressive style to catch him. Sounds like some pump fakes are in order.

Well, one reason is that Pennington threw less picks this season than anyone has done in quite a long time and the Dolphins overall had the best turnover ratio in the NFL.

So for a team to go on the road, with a noob HC and a noob QB, and take them down 27-9 PLUS get 5 turnovers, including 4 INT's, is noteworthy.

Miami's record was 11-5 in the AFCE; the same as NE. They had the tiebreaker. Of course, Miami sucks now, but if they had pulled out a victory, people would be praising the poise of a team that was 1-15 last year and saying the Ravens sucked.

Chad made God-awful throws because he had a real defense that was in his face all day long except on one drive.
