As I've said before on here, US Thanksgiving is my absolute favourite holiday. A celebration of food, football and family. Happy Thanksgiving all. Just curious as to why it's on a Thursday. Honestly I think the Thursday thing is one of the reasons it's so cool, but still I'm surprised it wasn't moved to Friday or Monday at some point. Do most of you take Friday off as well? Today is the first time in quite a few years I didn't buy a turkey (or at least a nice big chicken), I'm kinda bummed about it now. I think I'm going to have to some Swiss Chalet delivered. Does your house smell like Turkey yet They should make air fresheners in that scent. Bon Appetit!
Research has shown that Pilgrims likely ate Turtle on Thanksgiving. And then used the turtle shells for bowls. Believe it or not.
Officially, one day, however, since it is on thursday every single year we always get friday off work and so it becomes a 4 day weekend for just about everyone.
