IDK about that. Ive only seen Stevens drop 2 balls his entire career. He just doesn't get targeted.

Now if you wanted to say Hoo-man is a better receiver, absolutely.

He's only dropped two balls, because he's only been thrown 5.

I think it's the right time to cut Nate. I really like him as both a player and a leader but I believe we have his replacement on the roster and we can find better uses for his salary. If I didn't believe in Hunter I would never even suggest cutting Nate buI see Wright and Hunter as the future of this receiving corp and I believe the future is now. Cut him now while he can still get a decent deal with another team.

You act as if he's Dave Stewart or somebody, youre talking about a productive leader of our team. He's the guy getting the team fired up before the kickoff, that alone is almost worth his salary. You saw what happen when Finnegan left, so did our defense heart.

Finally found something we disagree on. Every team needs at least 3 good receivers. I think D. Williams is gone and while I like Preston I don't see him as a #3. Also the most common year for a wr to break out is year 3 so Hunter still has 1 to go. Let Nate play out his contract and see exactly what we have on this roster before next year. Not to mention the risk of injury.

I'm not sure why Stevens and Stewart are still on the roster at this point. Cuts need to start happening now.

It's not like I think Nate is some scrub. I'm aware of how valuable he is to our team and I thought I made that pretty clear in my original post. No matter how awesome a guy is sometimes you gotta make a tough decision and I think now is a good time to make that call on Nate. Trust me I saw how he was Locker's safety blanket so I don't say this lightly. Whether we wanna admit it or not this team is not in "win now" mode, we're much closer to rebuilding mode and the way forward is youth. Yes it will probably hurt being without Nate in the short term but I think it's the right call long term. D-will is much better than he's been able to show and I'm one of the few who really believe in Preston. We'll also surely add a young guy at some point in the draft in preparation of Nate's likely departure next season.

I'm in win now mode. I'm sick of losing.

I am the official OG Craig Stevens hater. Alright, I can't claim it outright but I have definitely hated all the way!

Good team guy (I guess for whatever that means) but is not a good player.

You got your money and made some great blocks (according to other posters) so it's time to say bye!

Unless this is the year, anyone think this is the year? The year Craig Stevens is the next Witten???

I'd rather keep dwill than Nate for exactly that reason. Upside over downside.
