Every year the NFL kick offs the season featuring the reining World Champions vs some other formidable contender, this year that means Seattle will host the first game of the season, but who will they face?

Last year the league had the Super Bowl winning Ravens host 2014's eventual Super Bowl losers. The Bronco's flexed their muscle that game handing the Rat Birds their first of many Losses in 2013.

Going back just a year further to 2012 the NFL had the New York Giants open the year vs the Patriots. So as we see, the league loves starting things off right.

My guesses for who may end up alongside the Seahawks in Seattle opening day are the elite teams Seattle has defeated lately. This could either be the 49er's, Packers, or Broncos. Since we know the match-ups, we know Seattle doesn't play the Patriots or Saints, so they're both out.

They almost always go with conference match-ups. I doubt they would do a divisional one, so that leaves Dallas, Green Bay, and New York. New York sucks, Dallas is meh and Green Bay is still pissed since their last match-up ended in the Fail Mary.

My guess is Green Bay if they want the most drama. I could see them going with Dallas if they want to save the Green Bay game for later.

As far as the Titans schedule goes I wouldn't be surprised if we opened against the Jets and CJ, that is unless of course they've had the schedule done for a while since before he signed with them.

The Hawks vs 49ers would certainly have plenty of appeal. They are really starting to dislike each other. They would get plenty of press from Harbaugh and Carroll who really don't like each other. I think the Seahawks gave up their 7th rnder for Pryor just to keep him off the 49ers.

I'd like us to either open vs Baltimore (cause I'll be there) or at home vs the Colts.

I just hate starting the season vs a really tough opponent like the Pats a few years ago. Starting out and getting your first win in the first game of the season just seems to make things go so much easier. Bring on the Browns!

Who are you worried we fall to week-1? Only the Chiefs worry me, besides them we could win all our games in a perfect world.

It's too early to tell. I loved it when we played the jags first. :) always was a solid match up but felt winnable.

Colts would be a tough game to start against. I know they had a down year and we beat them last year but I wouldn't want the Steelers either.

I HATE HATE HATE opening vs the Jaguars, soooo boring.

Nothing pumps you up like opening your season vs the JV team of the NFL. (I know they beat us once last year, but now that CJ2.8 is gone, that wont happen in 2014)
