Oilive oil has a fairly low burn temp which is why it normally isn't used for frying. Try a higher temp oil (peanut oil?). The grill spray Jeff is talking about probably contains an oil that doesn't boil or burn at normal cooking termperatures.

I have that Weber grille spray and it disappears at high heat (just like PAM "High Heat")..

    Found my chicken beer-butt photo!

Doesn't look very appetizing to me...looks like someone swept the floor with it...

I grilled some dogs last weekend wrapped in bacon. Very good. My boy said that is the way he wants them all from now on.

I did the marinade that I described earlier, but for a whole 4 lb pork loin. Came of the grill at just under 160 degrees, and man it was tasty!

Looks like a Lebanese monkey pigeon, but the taste is what counts..
The "floor sweepings" are garlic, onion and mega dose of cayenne pepper. The chicken was soaked overnight in Smithwick's Lager, olive oil and fresh garlic..

The beer can in the cavity keeps the inside very moist n tasty..

Variation for those who like to hunt. Marinate venison (or nalgi or whatever game), cut into cubes. Place jalapeno slice with a water chestnut- wrap in bacon, use toothpick to hold together and grill. Very neat and easy tailgating. GREAT flavor and texture. We eat these all the time at our Titans tailgate.
