Is body language communication? You interact, thus communicate.

Wait a minute. How about you provide the definition of communication that you are using as your reference? Because their are many forms of communication.

Yeah Librarian's don't really exist anymore! LMAO.

Also not all definitions are concepts. Even if they are someone had to come up with that concept. For example, who decided that cuss words were actually cuss words?!?! They're just words that someone at one point said hmm lets make these words considered vulgar. Yeah I just went all philosophical on your ass!

Ten_Titans You said atoms communicate. A plant is made up of atoms therefore they have the ability to communicate. Game over.

Yes, body language is communication. Information being shared. EDIT: I guess it could go either way. Information being actively transmitted (hand signs) is communication. Inferring based on behavior is not communication.

a : information transmitted or conveyed b : a verbal or written message 3 a : a process by which information is exchanged between individuals through a common system of symbols, signs, or behavior <the function of pheromones in insect communication>

    Compared to

    1.
    reciprocal action, effect, or influence.

The difference? One must be done actively between individuals. The other can be done passively.

All words represent concepts. All words have definitions. Ergo, all definitions represent concepts. Even implied definitions( cuss words).

Mother of god... For the millionth time, I said atoms DO NOT communicate. I think we are zeroing in on your problem here. You only read every 5th word I type.

This is the last time I will post on this topic. I could not be any more clear on the subject. TWW2, you will be surprised what kind of progress you can make by stopping. Reading. Thinking. THEN responding.

Okay I think I understand your viewpoint. Atoms (and molecules) themselves do not communicate with each other but rather can be used as a FORM of communication.

It is semantics because on a level because the valent (ionic) state of a particular atom WILL result in a respondent action of another atom. (eg form a molecule) It is irrelevant whether or not it is active or passive. And what source are you referencing for your definition and comparison of communication?
