Thanks to @CRUDS for this brilliant idea.

    • What kind of car did your grandpa drive?
    • What are some of your favorite (or least favorite) "smog era" cars?
There is something special about the smog era cars. They were huge and many of them austentacious. And most are considered ugly by modern standards. Now there is something kitchy cool about them. Also, it could be argued that the smog era was the end of the American style manly grunt machine cars.

    Smog Era: a quick definition

The first car I remember my grandpa driving was a maroon 1975 Mercury Grand Marquis. My grandpa, like most of the era, loved huge cars. His last car, before he died, was a 1991 Caprice Classic -- the first year of the jellybean style.

I drive a Chevy Equinox with a car seat and stroller in the back.

There is a Titans decal on the rear window.

I recently went from my 05 grand Cherokee to a 2011 jeep liberty. It's more economic, I like it.

Pretty sure a Jeep Liberty is a dad car.

Like 12 soccer balls fall out of that thing when you open the rear hatch.

    Car seat probably comes standard.
