it is not the intention of PGR to compete with GT
thats what Forza was designed to do

Either one do the job. Gunny, you can't be serious.

    I like Gotham
i didn't cater to much to Forza
and never have liked Gran Turismo - I don't care if it's a "sim". the driving feels slow and cumbersome

i'm more of an arcade racer guy
    i'd much rather play

I'm the same. Forza/GT games are a little too realistic for my liking, although you feel like you're not going fast in them somehow. I'll play Need for Speed over these because the cars actually feel fast, and it's just more fun.
Now, NFS has a pro-street game coming. Should be interesting.

I think if GT went back to how it was in GT2, it'd be cool again. But the last 2 versions of the game were just boring.

I downloaded the Gran Turismo HD demo from the Playstation Store
it is a high resolution version of GT4
too slow and clunky for my tastes
nothing like taking a corner at 25 MPH

I don't drive the sportiest of cars, but I can corner a good 50mph. In GTHD the cars barely allow you to do it at half that speed

    a corner at 50 mph?

You are either incredibly lying or incredibly reckless.

there's nothing hard about soft corners at 50mph
i didn't mean right angles or hairpins

You mean sharp corners right? Soft corners around 45-60mph is nothing man...

Heck, I used to have a little italian sports car, that thing could corner! I couldn't take a right turn at 50, but I could take a curve at it.

That's not a corner, it's an abberation of the straight.
