    No. He can't ignore the defense. They've got a long way to go before they can call themselves "mediocre".

    But a better offense covers up for a lot of bad on defense, IMO, more than vice-versa.

    Needs to be moved to safety like his brother. Plays to far off from the LOS giving up easy slants, curls, and comebacks for first down.

    That would be best, but we are so weak at CB right now we can't afford to. Maybe that will change in the offseason.

    He makes up for it by being a better football player. Everything about Verner, other than speed, is better than JMac.

    I think they definitely need to get a CB via FA or Draft this year. They could also use a DE and or a OLB. On the offensive side (Other than the O line needs), they clearly need a WR. It's a shame that Hunter is a bust and that Wright is really only viable in the slot. Walker should NOT be your best weapon on offense. Insanity. I am still in pain over Jeremy Hill killing it, and yet we have Sankey averaging 3 yards per carry.

    You probably thought the Seahawks DBs were too big and slow too. Also probably said Wilson was too short just like the rest of them.

    So much more goes into the game than just speed. Ask the Raiders... and Titans (drafting the fastest LBs in the draft back to back years).
