Not really, that's more memorization, not many variables in spelling. Either you know it, don't know, or try to break the word down and guess.

    lmao

Senile old men can do it.

There's not even strategy involved in golf. "Hit here hit there. Should be able to put. Repeat."

Golf is not my idea of a sport.

It's an old farts hobby,a pastime.

Well, they said that it is not against the rules to ground the club to maintain one's stability. Golf is a game played on one's honor, so if Wie said that she grounded the club because she was off-balance, then they should take her at her word and not assess the penalty.

    Seriously?

By strategy I actually mean a thought out plan. Not just "I need to hit it here and there, and we should be good to go"

Which is all the "strategy" there is in golf.

Then go out there and be the next Tiger. You can do it!

Again, it's very mentally challenging sport. Of course it's hit in there, but can you focus enough to do so? And if you hit a bad shot, can you recover, or do you beat yourself up? And can do that with hundreds of people around you and in front of you?

I hacked around when I could afford it. Definatly is strategy involved. Especially with players who are good. A course groomed for a tournament will present plenty of challenges. Try and hit it over the hill, where the sand is, for a chance at eagle or lay up for a chance at birdie?

    greens have there own challenges.

How is recovering from a bad shot in golf any harder than recovering from a strikeout, fielding error, missing a free throw or jumpshot, allowing a goal, throwing an interception, dropping a TD pass, etc?

Focusing? If you can't focus playing golf... all other sports are out of question.

    1. It's dead silent. People are upset if someone coughs.
    2. There's no defense.
    3. You golf the same courses over and over. Nothing changes but the wind.

I'm decent at golf. And I play like once every 2 years just to hang out with friends. It's like bowling to me. I figure if I did it more than a few times within a month- I should be able to hang with the average golfer.

There is no 'game planning' for a golf tournament. You keep your eye on the other players scores, but golf is more a game than a sport IMO.
