Golf has stupid rules

Thought this would be a post about Wie. I agree one of the dumbest, if not the dumbest, rules in all of sports.

 

I have to kind of agree with a comment there...

I don't care for golf, but I acknowledge it as legitimate. A rule like that? I no longer acknowledge it.

 

Meh, she's a professional, so she should learn the rules.

Golf is a technical sport, with a lot of rules that are very formal and some relate only to decorum. I certainly never play by the same rules that the Pros do, but if you're going to play for big money, learn the rules and pay attention to them.

 

I read the article and it said the rule was so that players could not losen sand/dirt/mash down the grass whatever in order to improve their lie. I understand the purpose of the rule, in this case it was a rule inforced because there is a rule, not because it affected anything.

Definatly deserved a no-call IMO

 

this woman is a mess... she's chronic when it comes to doing dumb stuff like this... is it a dumb rule? sure it is... if you are out on the links with your friends calling someone out on something like that is pretty gay, i'll agree, but if you are going to call yourself a "professional" you have to play like a professional. Everyone else on the tour doesn't seem to have these issues.

One time she turned in her score card without signing it...

Good post, I was just about to say pretty much the same thing.

It is a weak rule, but golf is a weak sport so...
