Howdy guys! So next year it's finally gonna happen, I'm heading overseas, and I'm going to be in the States for a little while... I want to be able to catch a Titans game somehow, but here's the thing - I'm only going to be able to stay in USA long enough to maybe be around for the opening week of the 2010 season. So (obviously), it means that wherever the Titans are playing that week, I'll have to be there. As you can appreciate, it's a smidgen hard to plan a trip overseas to an unknown destination, so I thought I might just get as much advice as possible with some rather daft questions... 1. When's the 2010 schedule likely to be announced? I'm thinking around March/April, is that accurate? 2. How hard is it going to be for me to get tickets? (I would also imagine it'd vary based on the opponent - if it's in Tennessee or Green Bay I'm screwed, but Jacksonville tix often don't sell well, right?) So yeah. Pretty daft questions, but I've basically got no idea how to go about this, or, given the limitations I've got, whether this is even realistic.
There are many here with more experience than me but I have found that tickets are available to home games. You might have to pay more than the original price and probably won't be on the 50 yard line but you can get tickets. I have never seen a Titan's game outside of Nashville except on TV. I myself will be going to the Titan's vs Buffalo this year. ( club section)
The schedule comes out in April, usually on a random thursday before the draft. It's usually expected at the beginning of April and then comes out in the middle. You should be able to get tickets anywhere, if you want them badly enough. If it's a home game, you can get them no matter what. You could either get on and try to buy them on ticketmaster when single game tickets go on sale the second week in July, or you could buy them online later, or you could try and get some from someone on the site. I'm sure with your circumstances someone on here could find you a ticket hookup. Worst case scenario, you can scalp tickets at the game, no matter where it is. You'll have to pay more, but I assume that you just really want to be there, so it should be worth it, and it shouldn't be out of this world pricing unless we win the Superbowl and are opening the season again next year.
Stubhub is a great place to find tickets after they go on sale. You can usually find some reasonable priced.
As its been said by previous posters... in late April around the draft. I really don't think it will be hard. Sadly, many Titans fans will sell their tickets no matter what... that's how 10-15,000 yellow towels ended up in our house. You'll always be able to get a ticket to a Titans game if you really need one. If you wanted to go to an away game, like you said, Jacksonville would be easy. I've been to a game there. Tickets are always available. Their fans were actually quite friendly and admitted defeat at the end of the game. I saw more drunk rednecks there than I ever have at a Titans game, but it was fun. I did hate their hallways through the stadium though... too jampacked. I can't believe they had a Super Bowl there. Going to away games is easy if the team has a losing record... much easier to get tickets. Also, you can get tickets for just about any game anywhere if you do it several months in advance.
Tickets are easy to get for home games. You can buy them on Stubhub, ebay or I'm sure you can get them on here from someone. If going to a football game is a rare thing for you then make sure you tailgate and I would get some lower level seats. Not that there's anything wrong with upper level but its not something you get to do often.
it will be really easy to get tix. I would definitely use stubhub, as i have with Titans games. It is a breeze, and for the Atlanta game a few years ago, i scored 2 tix for like 19 a piece.
