Givens May Return for Texans Game

    SUMMARY: Titans WR David Givens broke his left thumb and tore a ligament in the loss to the Cowboys which required a pin be surgically placed in the thumb to help it heal. He is scheduled to have the pin removed next week and says he hopes he can play against his hometown team. "It’ll definitely be day-to-day, [but] I’m looking forward to playing this next game," Givens said.

    We need to see a lot more from Givens the second half. I can understand the time it takes to adjust to a new offense and dealing with the nagging injuries he's dealt with but he's the biggest disappointment so far among the free agents the team brought in.

    We need him to become the go to guy. Hopefully if he can get healthy and VY gets more coinfidence in him he can make a lot of big plays. I agree Jeff we need to see him have some big games. It has to be hard for all our receivers getting comfortable with thier 3rd QB this season but they want have to worry about that for a while.

    The other big FA pickups (KM, CH, DT, and RS) have made significant contributions. Givens has thus far done essentially nil.

    I hope he starts to deliver...

    There havent been any dissapointments in the free agents besides Givens, Hope is a really solid safety who can lay the wood and same with thornton, both play makers. CALVIN JOHNSON TO THE TITANS!! (thats why we shouldnt have signed givens to such a lucrative deal...cuz we could draft Dwayne Jarett or CJ)
