Just started my Spring Break. One full week of bliss. Not.. Right before my History class lets out they say we have to write a 4 page essay.
Is that all? I'm currently writing one that's 10-12 pages and is due in about 10 hours. I'm halfway through. I have another one that's 6-8 pages due on Tuesday. Gotta love that late semester push... :hmm:
Normally a 4 pager is nothing. But on break? Blehhhhh. I wrote it tonight anyways. So a week to myself still woot.
4 pages? I once had to write a 17 page bibliographical essay on two verses, but mainly the last verse. "I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me will come one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not fit to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire." Yeah. It sucked.
How do you write more than the original work you're writing about? "Here's 10 words, now right 5 pages about the meaning of those 10 words." I would have refused, what class was that?
We had to learn a dead greek language for proper translation of original new testament text. Not only was learning that alphabet a PITA, but the way the words change for like... past tense/currently happening/will happen.. that stuff was rough. But on top of that, we had insane essays and the like. And that was just ONE class. And when I tell you I stretched that essay...it was like Mr. Stretch run over by a tank. I do not miss coming home from school at 5pm, studying/doing homework until 2am and getting up at 6am. I met some great people during that year though.
