SUMMARY: A gameball is given each week to a player on offense, defense and special teams for every Titans victory.

    Offense
    Vince Young
14-of-22 for 164 yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT, 97.5 passer rating. Rushed for 21 yards on 5 carries.

In clearly his best game of the season thus far, Young made excellent decisions with the football with the exception of the first-half INT. He's never been better than he was the first quarter where he made good reads and hit open receivers in stride. Even after falling on his wrist and a halftime IV, Young came out sharp in the second half and strung together a number of short completions and used his legs when needed.

Gotta give VY credit. He had a great game. Managed the O just like he needed to. The Bull on D sure backed up his pre game talk. 3 int's for a lb, great. And Griffin killed on special teams.

I think you should award a fourth game ball this week and mail one to Drew Brees . . . :))

Great game all around. Young is getting lots of praise on ESPN this morning, and he deserves it. A few unsung heroes on the Titans D after 3 games:

    1) Finnegan and Harper. Have things been quiet back there or what? Great tackling in run support, and we've seen a lot of times when QBs are dancing in the pocket because nothing was open downfield.

    2) Fowler. Hard to tell how much is his play and how much is just Haynesworth, but with few exceptions we're not giving up much of anything in the middle of the field anymore.

    3) Lowry/Fuller. When the only mention of our free safeties includes solid tackles and an INT for a TD, it's a good thing.

    4) Schwartz. At the risk of starting this conversation over again, if we blamed Schwartz for the bad performances we should give him props here too. With a ton of turnover, he's fielded a nice defense that has played as a tight unit - no glaring miscommunications and no game-killing weakness.

The list could go on, but those people were all very big question marks going into this season, and they have all delivered I think above expectations. We're going into the easier part of our schedule after the bye, and then we finish with some tough games at the end. We need to come out against ATL with the same energy, and so far I see no reason to expect a fall off.

Game ball to #53 Keith Bulluck also, Michael Griffin and his special teams plays. Heck just park the whole trailer full of footballs in front of LP stadium and, give the whole team a game ball because they are off the chain!!! GO TITANS!!

My one criticism would be of Harper. I've seen him get burned a few times so far this season. He was definitely responsible for slipping up at least once on Monday night. Sorry if I can't point to the play, but I was there, and drinking, and can't remember when it was. He's a passable starter, but I wouldn't consider him a hero of the D, and I really have doubts about him as a long term solution. Hopefully Finnegan and Griffen can be our CBs next season, or Finnegan and Pacman if he makes it back.

I agree with the praise of Jim, though. He's done a good job so far this year.
