SUMMARY: A gameball is given each Monday to a player on offense, defense and special teams for every Titans victory.

    Offense
    Chris Brown
19 carries for 175 yards, 9.2 average per carry. 1 reception for 3 yards.

Many Titans fans questioned bringing back Brown though I doubt many will admit it today. But just about anyone would have generate some serious yardage yesterday based on the holes I saw. Credit the offensive line for dominating one of the best run defenses in the league and look for the Titans to attempt to repeat this same feat every week they step on the field.

My game ball goes to David Stewart for coming up with the ball from the pile up after Vince's second fumble.
If not, Jax would have had the ball in good field position, with momentum, and the game might have ended differently...

Being a lineman at heart, O gameball to the o line, d gameball to the d-line.
The holes the line opened up in this game any of us could have run through, not to take away from Brown or White and the dline shut down a credible running attack. Hell of a way to start the season.

Then it begs the question why Lendale had only an about average day...

I agree that the Oline did a hell of a job creating lanes

Brown is quicker and lighter, which is why in the past he's had problems in short yardage. With Chris, if you give him any kind of hole he can hit 10 yards really quick. Against the bigger, slower Jags defense he's a perfect back... if he sees any daylight he'll get there before it closes, and he's great with cutbacks. Lendale, on the other hand, is a better fit against a team like Indy - they have the speed to limit Brown, but they don't have enough power to bring Lendale down, and Lendale runs more straight ahead than Brown. Don't be surprised if the roles are reversed next week, with Lendale getting the nod and Brown just being the change-up. Both will have their good days, and it's great having the option depending on the type of defense you're facing.

oh... and lots of gameballs to go around. Chris Brown, the entire O line (especially Mawae playing in that heat after being sick this week). And how about the Titans coaching and training staff - these guys were clearly in better shape than the Jags and came away no injuries to speak of. Hopefully that pays off in the 2nd 1/2 of the season the way it did in the 2nd half of the game.

different style of runner. chris was able to take advantage of the cutbacks the jags were giving him, lendale is more of a straight ahead no nonsense runner.
