At least Fitz got his obligatory INT
a scrub team missing like 7 starters or something
I see what you're saying and do feel that it would be nice if we could get a good coach that could turn this thing around a la Andy Reid in KC. However if we don't replace Munchak with a coach of that caliber then I think we're closer with him than if we bring in another mediocre replacement.
True. But the simple solution to that is to NOT bring in "another mediocre replacement". Based on what we've seen from Munch in three years there's absolutely no reason to think we can't end up with someone better assuming we actually conduct a serious and thorough search (something we did not do last time around).
FitzMAGIC is trying his damndest to get Munch fired. He's a true man of the people.
Shark or Sharkeisha?
There are plenty of Sharkeishas in Jacksonville too though.
Just Youtube "Cops Jacksonville"
I'm all for that. If we're gonna fire Munchak I want us to go all-in and really get the best coach available. I won't pretend to know who that is but I know that money talks and enough of it could land us a legit coach. Art Briles, David Shaw, Jon Gruden, Mike Holmgren just to name a few of the big dogs.
I honestly would not be the fan of a team I wanted to see lose. I saw a team today that played a solid second half when they could have mailed it in just as they could have last week. I want to see that even though the competition stinks.
I saw some Fisher teams tank. That pissed me off as a fan much more than what I'm seeing now.
I totally understand the frustration but 90% of the players starting today will be starters in game one next season. Players who tank now don't deserve to be on the roster. I think we want to see players showing some heart and, if it results in a win, good for them and fans should be encouraged.
I still think TS wants to be the one to do what Bud couldn't and put his stamp on the team right away. He already knows if he has faith in Munch, IMO. If he has any doubt he wants to keep Munch, he's got to have Webster putting together a list of candidates now. If he waits until after the Texans game to meet with Munch to discuss things, it'll put the Titans in the position of falling behind and possibly missing out on some top candidates.
If TS allows these last two games against horrible teams to change his mind, the Titans have more problems in its future than who will be coaching the team next season.
Who's talking about tanking? I'm not saying the players should quit. I'm just saying why some fans (including me) might want the team to lose right now.
I just think the whole "under no circumstances would I ever want my team to lose!" mentality is shortsighted and/or uppity. You say you wouldn't be a fan of a team you wanted to lose. I say I want the team to lose because I'm a fan.
Being rid of Munch is the first step towards a championship. So I want him to have as little of a case as possible for another year.
