When speaking logically about drafting, the Raiders are always excluded.
How about giving S.D a 2nd rd pick for restricted free agent Michael Turner? I would be excited about that!
the price for Turner is a 1st and a 3rd
but, short of having LT or LJ here, I'd bite on Turner in a second
next ....... year ......... he'll be the man in FA
If the front office really thinks that Michael Turner would be an option...IMHO, it might be worth investigating an offer sheet for him this year. I realize that giving up a 1st and a third round pick plus an offer sheet would be an expensive price to pay, but Burner Turner is going to be a coveted free agent with a price to match. A properly structured contract with a poison pill inserted (think Steve Hutchinson's contract last year w/ Minnesota) might be able to get it done cheaper than next year, particularly with the way salaries are escalating.
The only question I have about Michael Turner is his pass-catching skills. I haven't seen enough of him to evaluate that, but having a pass catching RB is a key for the Titans' system.
Still, it's a very interesting thought indeed.
Ask the Raiders how well that 1st round pick has worked out for them...
:barf: Can we stop talking about the Raiders there making me sick.
711 points, 99.2 PAT%, 77% from the field. He's better than Neil Rackers lifetime in pretty much every single category for kickers, and they came in the league at the same time. If you want a solid kicker, listen to the Raiders, and take one in the first round.
Hold on, was he really taken in the first round?
I thought yall were kidding.
With 17th pick of the first round 2000 Raiders select Seabass!
I was TOTALLY kidding about taking one, that was a joke, and so are the Raiders
