We could sign Tom Brady, Adrian Peterson, Calvin Johnson, Patrick Peterson, and Patrick Willis and still be considered losers to the outside world.

I wouldn't call us a winner or loser in this off season.

No... This is typical garbage from NFL journalists.

Again, we're a small market team. We aren't going to get any love.

They mentioned only our FA losses rather than our gains. The Colts cut Peyton Manning - the biggest name in their franchise's history - and it was the right move. The whole "well he was the team's biggest name" argument is total crap.

When a journalist uses that reasoning you know he's ****ing clueless.

I think we made some moves to prepare ourselves for the future, such as renegotiating contracts, and we have a decent Stewart replacement. But this is probably one of the worst articles for the OP to use to back up his argument. Verner while good in the beginning of the season didn't fit the new system, CJ is far more replaceable than non Titans fans think. The next portion of the article spouts absolute nonsense in that we apparently lost something by cutting Britt. Lmao we didn't add anyone to replace his playmaking ability.. Does this author understand that we drafted Hunter last season so he could become a full time starter this year? Our starting 3 Wrs are Wright, Nate, and Hunter... Followed by Dex. We'll grab another project from the PS or the draft if Mariani doesnt stick. That article is clearly written by someone who hasn't paid any attention to this team.

"Elsewhere, we can't say we disagree with the team's decision to give up on Kenny Britt, but the Titans didn't make a move to replace the would-be playmaker."

Didn't make a move to replace the "would be playmaker" :biglaugh:Replacing brutal drops time and time again isn't hard to replace at all.

have to wait until after the draft...what Britt was bringing to the team can be replaced by a rookie or Hunter this year, a rookie/McCluster could replace CJ's production for that matter...as far as losing Verner, obviously the FO seems to like what Sensabaugh and Wreh-Wilson bring the table, could bring in a rookie there too.

    "Would-be playmaker"

What a perfect description of Britt.

These idiots also forget that FA and Draft go hand in hand. It's all about the offseason as a whole.

If we were talking about strictly FA the Panthers were far and away the biggest losers. Jason Avant is now their #1 WR. Tavarres King is their #2 WR. Outside of Avant, the WRs on their roster combine for a total of 6 career receptions. Cam should be absolutely furious. They also lost Captain Munnerlyn and no longer have anyone at CB.

Britt should be embarrassed that the Panthers did not make him an offer.
