I can't seem to find this info anywhere. I think it was Jesse Baker, but I can't shake the feeling that it might be Elvin Bethea. I know Baker set the franchise rookie sack mark with 15 1/2 in 1979 (not too shabby).

Not really. Sacks were not official NFL statistics until what? 1983 or so I believe...

So Kearse holds the rookie record for sacks. And NFL record to I believe. I know Peppers was close his rookie year.

the only reason peppers didn't break it was thanks to an illegal substance test.

Can you find a site that lists official all-time sack records (or unofficial for that matter)?

When looking around for it I stumbled on this site. Althogh it wasn't any help with the sack thing it does seem to provide a wealth of other Oilers/Titans info....

Okay, this is unacceptable. I was supposed to wake up this morning, log on and find my question answered. I'm afraid I'm going to have to let you all go, we're going to go in another direction.

Jesse Baker was awesome that year. A rookie too, I believe!

Found this which I think is as good as we're going to get for now. No yearly stats, just an all time for career totals. As it says only up to date through 2005.

    Highlighted some for you tb.
