fowler to start??

Reynolds is the guy that won't make the team. He might as well ask for his release.

 

Reynolds still has a good chance, otherwise they wouldn't have even bothered to tender him.

 

I think we end up carrying 6 backers.

Bulluck, Thornton, Fowler, Tulloch are definities.

Nande, Reynolds & Woods will probably battle it out for 2 spots.

Since Amato long snaps & plays 'backer he'll be kept also.

 

Don't forget Toone. They'll draft at least 1 LB as well.

 

Fowler will not be paid $5million next year to be a backup. I hope not at least.

 

If he gets beat out by Tulloch, then he will be a $5 million backup. I don't think that this signing means that we have a new starter at MLB. I see him as just competition, though he probably has the inside track to start right now.

 

Plenty OLBs become MLB's and vice-versa.

 

Why would they need to if Nande, Toone, and/or Reynolds mak the team? Unless they think those guys are turds. Maybe they keep 7 LB's and draft one, but I'd like to see Nande and Toone given chances.

 

Nande is a Weakside LB not MLB and he has huge potential but is caught behind Thornton or Bulluck so he might not play for a while until Keith moves on.

 

Toone, Woods, and Reynolds should be gone leaving us with KB, Thornton, Tulloch, Fowler, Nande, and probably a DP since we always draft a LB sometime day 2.
