I heard an interesting trade idea on NFL radio a few days ago, thought I would post it on the board to get some thoughts....I was not a fan of dealing a first rounder for Kolb, he just hasn't shown me enough to be worth dealing out of the first round for him. This idea however, made some sense for both teams....

Titans deal #8 overall pick to the Eagles for Philly's #23 pick and Kevin Kolb...

I didn't want to trade a first for Kolb. But id be for it if we can have that deal. Don't know why the Eagles would do it though

Kolb is a FA after 2011, the trade value difference in points is that of a late first round pick. I hadn't thought about the possibility, but Solomon Wilcox believed the Eagles would jump at the chance to move into the top 10 by dealing Kolb.

Personally, I'm not really sold on Kolb just yet. His reviews are OK, he seems to be a developing talent, but I don't think there's enough playing time yet to consider whether he is a player to be included in first round talks.

If he is as good as some say, then trading down wouldn't be too horrendous I suppose. I guess it's going to depend on who Munch brings in as OC and what O philosophy they plan to use.

I agree with this..I was 100% against dealing a 1st rounder for Kolb, but thought trading down was interesting.

We need an OC first. Then we can decide on the who and the type of QB we want/need. Kolb would do well in a WCO though imo.

there aren't likely to be any trades for months.

I'm not in love with Kolb, but I definitely think it would be worth considering. I think there will still be some talent at 23.

I think everyone knows this, there is no need for each trade idea to be clarified with "When the CBA is reached". It's just understood that they cannot happen until it does, same with free agent's from other teams.
