For those wanting Freeny

    yes, I was on the bandwagon for a bit, then i read something. Finally found the stats.

    Year----Sacks on TURF----Sacks on GRASS

    2011----7.5----1
    2010----8----2
    2009----9.5----4


    So in the last 3 years, Freeny has 7 sacks on grass, while racking up 25 on turf.

    A lot of people are talking about overpaying, but also wanting Freeny.

    Figured I would share.

    Good point. At least 8 were on turf.


    Id have to go check the schedules for them each year, then find out which stadiums have turf lol.

    Im not doing that tonight, maybe tomorrow if someone else doesnt find out.

    In 2009, he played 11 games on turf and only 5 on grass.

    In 2010, he played 9 games on turf and 7 on grass.

    In 2011, he played 12 games on turf and 4 on grass.

    Added those numbers up via Wikipedia. Maybe give or take one either way on each year. But I think it's plain that this particular statistic is simply a product of the Colts' schedule.

    Yeah, lets not get any DEs, let alone one of the better DEs that may be available. Maybe we can put Hasselbeck in as our rotational DE to complement Mr. Bust and a rookie once Locker wins the QB job.

    This year he played 10 games on turf - played NO and ATL, I remember.

    Sacks are overrated anyways. Check QB pressures.
