"Michigan receiver Mario Manningham could end up being on the board longer than expected when the draft gets underway in late April.

On Sunday, he generated an ultra-sssslow 4.68 seconds in the 40-yard dash, according to one of the scouts in attendance. We're also told that some of his interviews have been not-so-stellar.

Poor interviews tend to stand out, because more and more of the players are prepared to come across very well during the 15-minute sessions at the Combine."

I know there are some guys on this board who love him. Would you still take him in round 1?

4.68? Isn't speed his best asset?

I can't wait for Gloat's response since he wanted Manningham because Sweed was "too slow" yet according to times, Sweed was almost 2/10 faster. Ouch .

Manningham might have just looked fast against the slow big 10 defenses...

    (Don't tell Kirk Herbstreit though)

He ran a 4.59 and a 4.62. He isn't that slow, he just had bad technique. Look him up on youtube. He's faster than 4.6 for sure.

He'll fall down the draft board's exactly the way Chad Johnson did. A lot of people questioned Chad's work ethic and expected him to run in the low 4.4's and maybe even into the 4.3's. He came in and ran a mid 4.5. People said he didn't have the dedication to work on his technique, so he didn't have the dedication to make it in the NFL. Thus he dropped into the 2nd round. Looks like Mario is having the same problems.

Jeff is obviously a combine homer, so my dreams of having Mario in two-toned blue are dwindling by the second.

the big 12 is a lot faster than the big 10--maybe not SEC fast, but the top tier of big 12 teams can move.

I'm more concerned about the bad interviews. The last thing we need is another Troupe. We need people who can read, write and understand the playbook.
