Universal have had a sequel from Carpenter with Russell and David both ready to sign up since 07'.

What do they do? They sign completely unknown director Matthijs van Heijningen Jr(he's made two short films) and an equally unknown writer to pen a prequel.

    Sacrilege.

The Thing (Carpenter) probably remains to this day one of my favorite movies all time, and definitely my favorite Sci-Fi/Horror. You just can't replicate that sort of fear, paranoia, and hopelessness.

    Well, maybe with G.I. Joes...:ha:
