This year has stood out more then any other year that i can remember as far as officating. I dont like to put losses on the referee's but i'm being a realist here, they have definitely had some impact on the ways games have been won and lossed not only during the regular season but the playoffs as well. Ever since Ed Hochuli made that call everything has snow balled for the zebras. I just hoped during the playoffs that they would be on the A game and call the game like they see it,maybe i'm just still bitter but its hard to sit here and wonder what if?

First off, that play should have been called off. The officials need to run in blowing the whistle, waiving their arms, doing whatever they can to stop that play. It was an offensive offsides for goodness sakes. The fact that play was able to happen in its entirety is ridiculous.

About the Suggs "hit". That is the point, the hit was not flagrant. That penalty is supposed to protect the QB against malicious hits to the head. The penalty is not to be called in that context, and calling it in that context is destroying the way the game is played. Suggs did not hit Collins on the head, he touched him. Suggs was also being blocked at the same time, the hit was hardly intentional, and that is not how the call is supposed to be called.

Look, I understand you are a little disappointed, but bad officiating is part of the game. You do not have to tell us this. We have never had the officials on our side in Baltimore. Officials see us as the Raiders of the East, officials intentionally look for reasons to call penalties on us. We still had to win the game. We still had a 2nd & 15 from midfield, and still had to get into field goal position. Just like you guys still had to drive 65-yards after the Suggs penalty. Should we have gotten the Johnson safety? Possibly. You cannot play the should/would have game.

I am extremely disappointed that some Titans fans feel they have to hate the Ravens after this lose. I would think that they would have respect for the game, and at least appreciate the intense battle that took place between two very good teams. I certainly have a tremendous amount of respect for the Titans. I guess that is not the case for some Titans fans.

They won the game fair and square no matter what happened on 3rd and 2. I saw it was delay of game from my seat in 330 but that's how things go. We don't need to be nasty about the whole affair like I saw so many Ravens fans were after we got an iffy call in the regular season that helped extend our game winning drive. Some online posters I encountered were so nasty about the whole deal. Very bitter. Very ugly. Not us though. I haven't seen hardly anyone act in an unsportsmanlike way... maybe that's because we had all the turnovers and penalties to lay the blame on. Regardless, I'm not sure who the better team is and I really don't care anymore. That Ravens team may of stripped us of our dream but if their fans want to try to strip us of our class we shouldn't allow that to happen. The sooner they realize that we are putting this on our team and moving on with our lives the sooner they will fly home and prepare for the hat trick the Steelers have in store.

Then you need to complain about the rule to begin with.
Suggs hand hit Collins' helmet. The officiating does not care about any tangibles.
Just like when you are on the stand and an attorney is cross-examining you. They ask you a 'yes' or 'no' question. All they want to hear is 'yes' or 'no'. Try to further explain your answer to them, and they ignore you and say 'no further questions.'
Same thing here. Suggs hand hit Collins' helmet. End of story.
I'm not arguing on whether or not it should have been called. I'm just stating why it was called.

No, I'm saying that the officiating is the worst I've ever seen...concerning the whole league, not just Titans' games. I've seen so many blown calls this season, from several games.

I'm not any madder at or hate the Ravens anymore after this game, than I already do. I'm more pissed off at the Titans lack of discipline and ball control skills.
The Ravens played a more solid, disciplined game than we did. You had 4 less turnovers and less than half our penalty yardage. When the Titans play like that, they deserve to lose and you guys deserve to win.

I wholeheartedly agree this year in officiating has been downright awful....and this is coming from someone that is not just a Titans fan, but an avid football fan. You know after Hochuli's mistake I really thought that ref's would be ALOT more careful on the decisions they were making....but honestly this year has been the worse I've ever seen. How many times this year have you seen flags thrown, and then picked up after a discussion between refs??? Its just heartbreakening to see how quick the refs called for a delay of game on Collins(and Im positive that was right when the zero hit) but to not see it on that final drive...after Flacco clearly did not even call for a hike yet.

Now I for one wont blame Tennessee losing because of that call....Turnovers and penalties...for me its the fumbles, Collins and Gage were doing everything to get us in scoring position, only to have White and Crumpler throw it away.

But for Ravens fans you should openly admit, if not for the no call, you might not of gotten into range for the GW Field Goal....to win like that, even though it is a win...its not something to gloat or say the better team won.

Of course, the reason Scaife didn't make the catch is because he was hit BEFORE the ball got to him. Unfortunately, pass interference (or lack of a call) can't be challenged. I wonder what the officials talked about in the replay booth during that review?
"Hey, Pete missed that blatant early hit on the receiver that caused him to bobble the ball."
"Too bad it's non-reviewable. Guess we have to overturn it and help out the team that will bring in a larger viewing audience next week."
"Good point. Oh, Ed called in and said to make sure we tell the back judge to keep his eyes closed during the 4th quarter."
    "Will do"
    1 people high five this.

Uh yeah. Replace the human refs with robots created by humans. They might not miss a call, provided they aren't malfunctioning themselves at the time.
The only way to ensure a ref doesn't miss a call would be to allot time after every play to review a call, but that would take way too much time and cause way too many stoppages.

    Who here has a job?
Who here that has a job thinks that if they kept screwing up at their job time and time again, that they wouldn't get fired?
I know that if I kept dropping the ball at my job, my *** would get canned quickly.

What set of job security rules are these refs following?

Sorry, you're biased just like the other whiners* are.

(Both Titans & Ravens fans in this case, referee mistakes happens and is part of the game - and thank God or Odin or Allah or whoever you like for that)
