For all the Craig Stevens haters

I've never understood why Stevens wasn't used more. The guy catches everything thrown his way. He'll never be a top 15 TE, but he could be something like a poor-man's Heath Miller if he was used more.

One of the positives when we drafted him was his pass-catching potential and good speed. He has the potential to be the best all-around TE. Leave it to the Titans to lean him heavily toward one dimension. I bet Stevens has one of the best target to catch ratios of anyone on the team. Maybe the best it seems sometimes.

Well when you are only targeted once every other game, defenses aren't really putting their best defenders out there to stop you.

This guy has been the most consistent receiver for the titans this year. When he. Does catch the ball he is a monster to bring down and so he gets pretty good yardage when he is targeted. Are you saying he would be shut down if D's thought he was a weapon? I disagree, he is a big guy that causes a matchup problem for LB's. Everybody on here was saying he is nothing but a blocker, and had me believing it out of pure ignorance of not really paying attention to him. Imo if you give Stevens his catch back that the refs stole from him, then his numbers make him just as valuable as Cook, IMO

Is that really hating? I thought it was considered a statement of fact. If any player only has 10 catches a year, well they probably don't have the best defenders on them and are likely almost never double teamed unless the scheme calls for it.

I'd like to see us try to make him a 40-50 catch a year TE, but yeah I think he would be exposed at that point. There is a reason the guy has never been a major receiving threat at any level.
