Am I missing something? Blinded by my fandom? I can understand people not putting us in the Super Bowl. But I just don't get how everyone thinks we're THAT bad. We're in arguably the worst division in football and we're gonna finish last?

Worse than the Jags? Please. So ready for the season.

I don't think you guys are 2-14 type 4th place…but more of a 7-9, 8-8 type 4th place. I like the South a lot this year..outside of the Colts, I think the Jags, Titans & Texans are about the same. 1-2 game separation

I don't see 4th place in this division being a 7-8 win team. This division is still pretty weak.

I know we're nothing special on paper. I just don't think we're that bad. PFT had us 30th in their power rankings. Roto said we have the worst roster in the league. You have us worse than Jags and finishing 4th in the division. I just don't think we're getting enough credit. But I guess that's why they play the games. We'll see....

I thought that was an excellent breakdown and very well produced.

The biggest factor that goes unnoticed by NFL pundits that haven't intensely followed the Titans is the HUGE coaching upgrade that has been made. We've had decent talent on the roster but haven't done much with it under Munchak and Co because his lack of experience. Munchak lost much of the team because he hired his staff from familiarity and retained staff members whose units overtly failed to produce. It had a huge impact on the rosters ability to finish games and ultimately the season because players didn't fully buy in. And it showed toward the end of the season.

Whisenhunt has HC experience. He's been to the SB with multiple organizations. Ray Horton has experience transforming teams from 4-3 to 3-4 with immediate success. This coaching staff has already introduced a new brand of accountability into the Titans' culture. I'm confident the dividends will be immediate. This team will finish games. Only players that KNOW their assignments will be on the field.

Locker's inability to maintain consistency and his lack of durability also tested this inexperienced coaching staff ability to adapt game plans to personnel. So I agree that Locker is a big "if" and I understand pundits unwillingness to trust that he will do anything different in his 4th season that he did in his prior three.

I agree the division is tight and it makes sense to predict the Colts as the winners. But it really is a dead heat for 2nd in the division between the Texans, Titans, and Jags. Pundits are WAY over-rating the negative effects of a coaching transition. They just don't know how bad a staff we've had here for YEARS. Outside of Fisher and Williams, what other coaches we've had here have gone on to coaching success?

Yeah, I should say the overall roster breakdown was excellent. It's just the prediction was garbage.
