Fokou fined for penalty

    Titans middle linebacker Moise Fokou was fined $7,875 by the NFL for unnecessary roughness (facemask) in last Sunday’s game against San Diego, per colleague Jim Wyatt.

    Fokou drew the penalty while retaliating against San Diego offensive lineman Jeromy Clary, who hurt Fokou’s arm after the whistle. Clary was fined the same amount as Fokou, according to Pro Football Talk.

    Why don't they just say any penalty is an automatic fine and be done with it. Just utter nonsense.

    False start, $1k fine.
    Offsides, $1k fine.

    Defensive Pass Interference, $10k
    Offensive PI, $25k

    Etc.

    I've never even heard of fining a guy for shoving another player. That is an absolute joke. Flag him, okay. Fine too? Jesus this league is going to sh*t fast.
