Fitz is an average backup and his fade throw earlier in the game was horrible.
Especially if he insists on not sliding
He's definitely got his limitations, hence the reason he's back-up now.
If Jake wasn't such a big question mark himself, I'd dare to say we have the best 1-2 punch at QB. I used to get sick just thinking about if Kerry Collins had to play, but Fitz makes it easy to sleep, cause he's still got some talent.
Hey Andrew Luck goes in head first too, its just what young QB's do.
But I am noticing Jake wising up in some ways. There was a scramble of his where he could have gotten a few extra yards, but he chose to step out of bounds before he took a shot. Those little things will preserve his body so he can maybe make it thru a full year injury free.
It took me years to realize just how brilliant Peyton Manning was by always throwing the ball away to avoid a hit. Even if it cost him an INT. Use to think he was a puss. Then I realized one day that Peyton never missed time (At the time anyway). He went years without an injury or even major nagging pain.
The number one ability is avail-ability
Fitz did look sharp
please no mentions of a QB controversy though.
Locker is injury prone and bound to miss at least a game or two, so yes it will be good to have the luxury to put Fitz in.
Exactly especially since locker is a wimp that always gets hurt
It's that time again
