    From colleague David Climer …

Second-team quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick, not normally known as a running threat, had back-to-back scrambles of 19 and 10 yards in the fourth quarter against the Falcons on Saturday.

After a handoff to Jackie Battle, offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains called a bootleg pass where Fitzpatrick had to sprint to his right before delivering the pass.

“He eye-balled me a couple of times,” Loggains said with a smile. “He really wasn’t happy when I called that naked bootleg after those two long scrambles.”

Fitz has got some wheels!! ... Although on that 19 yard run, Locker might've been able to take that one for a TD. He had TONS of room to run lol

The coaches did say Fitzpatricks wheels had a part in their decision to sign him. He can do some of what Jake does.

Theyd never call that play with Rusty Smith or Matt Hasselbeck
