"or lack thereof" is the gist. He's lying through his teeth. They had no complicated plays from the get-go. What they had was no plan other than the usual. And when he saw that the Pitt defense was eating up the 'usual' and VY nor the rest of the offense could do anything to counter it, he blew the whistle on VY and put his honey in.

The gameplan statements look ridiculous, because it sure as hell didn't seem like any of our players had assignments.

Realistically, we were simply overwhelmed. LeBeau outcoached Dinger. His players played harder than our guys on O. We didn't seem to make any adjustments. Simple as that.

Our D did good. Take away that ST touchdown and I think we pull that win out with Vince.

The gameplan did look pretty complex...run run run run run. And if running isn't working, try running. Why not maybe give Vince a chance to pass the ball since they're selling out every time? Maybe a slant or a screen or something? I understand the Steelers defense was playing lights out, but we didn't help ourselves by getting stuck in 3rd and long situations. I mean aside from his two interceptions, both great plays by defenders, Vince really didn't have a terrible game. Just minimal opportunities with poor execution. The fumbles happen when you have 4 dudes hitting you from behind

This same coaching staff put together a pretty successful gameplan in Pittsburgh last season for the opener. Here's the first half stats while Polamalu was still in the game (until late in the half):

7 points. 12 first downs. 208 net yards.

Collins was 13/21 for 174 yards and a 84.2 rating. CJ was shut down but had the 32-yard run. White had 13.

The offense was sluggish and Collins had the deep INT but Bironas also had a miss and blocked FG.

So where are the differences from last season's game to this one? The Titan didn't go down early in this game. They did a much better job taking care of the football. Collins hooked up with Britt and other which opened up the running game a bit.

Steelers D has made a lot of QBs look bad and their LBs are playing out of their mind right now.

They are outstanding. But there's little difference from the defense the Titans played last year. Do you think they are that much better now?

I see the difference being the attitude and execution of the Titans offense and special teams. The gameplan wasn't the issue as much as the coaching staff not having the team ready in general.

You must be kidding me!! Have you even seen the INTs?? they were bunnies:hmm: Vince just threw right to them, obviously like he didn't read the coverages. As for the fumbles, 4 guys, c'mon, same types of fumbles all preseason. It's not like they were blindsided strip-sacks, it's just one defender and VY being careless as usual with the football, just like last week with the Raiders, and preseason. As for terrible, you're right, this would've been terrible for a solid QB, but for VY, this was just another average ballgame.

Jeff Fisher over-gameplanning is like Nick Harper over-covering receivers.
