I don't like Roethlisberger so it burns to admit this. I thinks he's proven himself to be an elite QB.

We aren' going to get anywhere without one. I still think Fisher has had his chances though and time to move on

Roll Tide thats a big problem here, we are not running the ball............how do you go to the texans and run CJ 7 times and rusty to throw 31? After tonite this will be the 5th 6 game losing streak in fisher's tenure here!

Turn the tape on of the way we played defense in 99 and 2000, and then look at the lack of pressure we apply now.

The steelers and the jets and the ravens blitz and dont play a lot zone. We do not blitz much and play to much zone. The defensive scheme has sucked around here for a while. I want somebody to defend the defense the last drive of the redskins game. 16-16 tie 1.29 left. Redskins are missing 3 offensive lineman and we basically play a prevent until they get inside our 40. Never seen that done in a high school game.

Sorry for the rant, as far as winning goes fisher is real close to being an 8-8 coach, that has made a career off of the 1999 season. The worst of it all to me is it is always someone else's fault never heard him take the blame for nothing.

Last point about running the ball, why did we cut blount? Why is donnie nickey a titan? Why is chris simms the #2?

Not sure if I would consider Haley's current offense to be "smash mouth" running style. The guy has a solid, reliable workhorse back and an amazing change of pace speedster. He mixes in a lot of finesse and creativity in between pounding the rock with Thomas Jones.

Meanwhile, Fisher is trying to ram CJ up the middle as if he is Thomas Jones, when he is really Jamaal Charles. He then brings in Ringer as a change of pace but continues running the same between the tackles offense. Haley's offense is much more dynamic than Fisher's one trick pony offense.

Running the ball is running the ball! Why do you think it is different just because a back has speed?

The plays we ran with CJ made him one of the most productive backs in the history of the game his first 2 seasons. We are running those same plays now they just are not working any more.

Is CJ a feature back or a part time back? Feature backs run all kinds of plays not just so called finesse plays. Tony Dorsett ran better inside than outside. Barry Sanders ran inside. CJ is not our change of pace back he is our main guy. He gained 2000 yards last year for crying out loud.

Agreed, to play after breaking his nose like that was very impressive. He has to be considered one of the toughest QB in the league.

The Jets, Chiefs, Ravens, and Steelers also have great defenses, our defense sucks. You can't win with a run game if you're defense sucks.

Also, Fisherball as Smash said is also boring and predictable play calling. Just look at the first drive of the game, run, penalty, run, run, pass, punt.

Fisherball acquires a great player like Moss and runs 0 plays designed to get him the ball. Fisherball has Kenny Britt on the bench for whatever reason at the start of the year, Fisherball believes Bo Scaife is a good football player.

good teams do a lot of things. but i guess if you want to pick 1 thing out and then research stats that support your claim (you can make numbers say anything), then yea fisherball is the best.

brb not winning a playoff game for the last decade playing fisherball

This chart looks at the run/pass ratio
    Facts:
    - Only three teams ('05 Steelers/'05 Pats/"98 Broncos) have won a Super Bowl with a R/P ratio that favored towards rushing attempts
    - Eight teams have R/P ratios that favor pass attempts
    - Only four were dead even
    - In the past fifteen seasons the Super Bowl winners R/P ratio has averaged out to 49% - 51%

This is the Titans over a similar period of time:

    Uploaded with ImageShack.us
    Facts:
    - 8 out of the last fifteen years the Titans have favored the run to varying degrees
    - Only five seasons have the Titans had a similar R/P ratio to the majority of SB champs
    - While the averages over the past fifteen seasons is the same if you calculate the ratio without including the '04 and '05 seasons the average becomes 51%/49% (R/P)
    - Since drafting Young the Titans have had a R/P ratio of 52%/48%. The only teams winning with a similar ratio are the '05 Pat and the '98 Broncos

He's certainly not an inept QB.

Are you honestly using the win percentage with a coach of less than two years? And what role do you feel Rex Ryan played in the AFCCG run last year? Save one or two exceptions, they never beat well-coached teams and never beat a well-coached team the second time around. It's the same "Fisherball" routine. Point to a positive win margin and claim it must be working while the team spends years spinning their tires, never beating well-coached teams and always finding their way to just barely miss playoffs or lose in the first game.
