APs gettin paid... plus hes got that nike money... i dont see the logic in comparing AP to CJ in this area.

heres what a less productive AP gets:

Signed a six-year, $40.5 million contract. The deal contains $17 million guaranteed, including a $1.555 million roster bonus in the second year. Also available is an annual NFL MVP (or NFL ROY in 2007) incentive of $250,000 and a $1 million annual escalator for 20 rushing TDs. He already added $2.5 million to his 2010 salary by rushing for over 1,000 yards in his first two seasons. Should Peterson rush for 2,000 yards or 20 touchdowns, he adds $1 million each time he does to his 2011 salary. 2009: $755,000 (+ $1.555 million roster bonus), 2010: $3.64 million (+ $2.8 million roster bonus), 2011: $7.72 million, 2012: $895,000 (Voidable Year), 2013: Free Agent. Cap charges: $4.4 million (2009), $5.7 million (2010), $12.8 million (2011).

kind of a figure of speech. allow me to show you what i mean.

The minimum salary structure for 2007 is as follows:
    Fourth-year $510,000
    Fifth- through seventh-year $595,000

    CJs base salary in 2010:
    $550,000

if one would call a player in his 7th year a veteran, then the "vet minimum" would be 595k. CJ is infact making less than the vet minimum.

congratulations on being so sure in your head that youre right, but being so wrong in reality

in fact, heres CJs contract details...

    7/26/2008: Signed a five-year, $12 million contract. The deal includes $7 million guaranteed. 2009: $385,000, 2010: $550,000, 2011: $800,000, 2012: $960,000, 2013: Free Agent

his contract is gettin re-worked. i mean, theres not even any bonus/incentives. 385k is what you pay a freaking player off the practice squad, not a dude who joined/surpassed HoF RBs in his second year in the league

umm...how am I wrong if he is getting more then the closest 'proof' you have, which is 4th year at $510,000.

lol Nike money? I guess LeBron James will play for the minimum since he gets $100 million from Nike.

AP has been the top back 2 of the last 3 years, he should be getting paid like the top back.
That is the same logic you are using for CJ.

CJ is about to see more endorsement money than his base salary next season. If I were him, I'd be on the phone with a PR firm to get the image polished and ready.

Is this really news? (Vince being the starter)

And what could C.J. endorse? Nike - yea, but what else?

Maybe C.J. can do Taco Bell. The slogan: "This 89 cent burrito will run through you faster than Chris". Or maybe a Subway commercial......

CJ can be the face of tempurpedic matresses. it would be something like... "i aint got no bed, i caint lay down. i aint nevuh funna lay down... oh whats this, a tempurpedic matress, this feels comfy, imma lay down on this"

then some man says, "get a tempurpedic, the only thing that can make CJ lay down"

or a commercial for LP building products:

CJ: "i aint got no home, im homeless" LP building guy: "we can build you a home CJ"
    CJ: "YAY"
