Fisher should retire if Rams don't make playoffs

    fishface is about done in STL IMO.

    he has in fact infused the team with a talented D and they are competitive on most sundays.

    Rams were a basketcase when fishface arrived.

    But I think he has done all he can do there


    EDIT - as for the talented D I might be thinking about SGWB Schwartz in Detroit. Reguardless Rams are 'better' now than when fishface arrived. Not an easy W, just a very probable W

    Fisher's strategy:

    1. Be a stand-up, classy guy.
    2. Make the playoffs or make a late season comeback when your job is on the line.
    3. Miss the playoffs two seasons in a row.
    4. Make the playoffs the following season to buy you two more seasons.
    5. Repeat.

    Marvin Lewis does this too... he's made the playoffs three years in a row, but lost each time. In fact, I guess he's never won a playoff game. Yet he's made it four or five times. That's pretty bad. But he was on the hot seat, made the playoffs and it bought him time.
