Wow. That reads pretty bad. I understand he's frustrated, but if he's infecting the locker room with that kind of sour milk... maybe we just roll with Ganther being the bigger guy. LW's not all that good

Lendale cares. The entire team cares. If you had seen those players coming out of the locker room, you could tell that they were all mad as heck. There were no smiling faces, no guys making post game eating plans, just grumpy faces. Just looking at their faces and their demeanor, you would have thought that they lost the last wild card bid to get into the playoffs.

A lot of players said things that they later regretted. In Lendale's defense, some reporter's smelled blood and pounced. A grizzled ol' vet like Keith Bulluck made some comments about the refs that he shouldn't have said.

See, this is the little secret. While the players and Coach Fish continued to say that they don't care about going undefeated, they just play game to game, they were not being truthful. All they thought and dreamed about was an undefeated season. When they hit the 10-0 mark, going 16-0 seemed more do-able. They wanted it and wanted it bad.

They also knew that the media that covers the NFL, at large, was just waiting to unload on them. They knew that this lost would start the avalanche of how this team was a sham. The team knows that the way to shut up the naysayers and gain national respect is to win. It frustrated them.
