    Recap:

Putting 0-2 record behind them. Team is focused on practice and getting better. Both losses close and both could have been wins. The team has a positive attitude.

Said his secondary had a "bad day at the office" last week.

Getting pressure from the DL despite loss of Haynesworth. DTs did a great job with Slaton.

Fisher has lots of respect for the Jets. Very strong in the secondary. Very unpredictable. The way to slow the pass rush is to focus on protect and run the football.

Comments following the interview by Mike and Mike included how important CJ will be because, if the Jets come up to blitz, that means he's in the open field once he gets past the first line. If the Titans can get CJ going, it'll nullify the blitz.

I missed the Chris Johnson part, but from the discussion afterward, Fisher seemed to allude that Johnson could be a big difference-maker for us in the Jets game.

Said there was some problems at Pittsburgh, but that naturally, we had a chance to win that all the way until the end.

They talked about how well the run defense was doing, and did we miss Al. Fisher answered we replaced him with numbers, keeping guys fresh and are doing a nice job there. Said regarding the Houston game, he looks at it like the secondary had a bad day at the office and it will be corrected. Said Schaub "got hot." Said tackles did well against the Alex Gibbs run game with the cut blocks.

Talked about the Jets and how well they're doing. Said it's the same scheme Baltimore had when Ryan was there and what was most impressive is that he's successfully installed it in one offseason. Said it's difficult from an offensive perspective, not knowing where they'll line up. Pointed to one play in New England game on 3rd and 1, Jets brought hybrid dime defense (7 DBs) and stuffed the run for a loss.

Said Jets has had more unblocked rushes on the passer, so Titans game starts with protection.

Mentioned having three punters. Said one (Craig) "has got a calf." Said it's an area of concern. They joked, it's always fun when it comes to deactivations, Fisher said.

Said team has good depth. Team has the right mindset and attitude right now. Promised this team will be fine.

Apparently said if Titans get Johnson going, especially against the blitz and all he has to do is penetrate one level of defenders, that will give the Jets pause to think, cause for concern and we can have a more balanced attack (extrapolating here).

"...he looks at it like the secondary had a bad day at the office"

But WHY did they have a bad day? dumb players? dumb coaching? the phase of the moon?

How many more bad days at the office are they going to have?

Bad day huh? Not just giving up big plays but all those pass interference calls that were declined.
