<p><em>Posted by ESPN.com's Paul Kuharsky</em></p> <p>INDIANAPOLIS -- Receivers at the combine were slated to have their media sessions Friday, but <a href="http://insider.espn.go.com/nfldraft/draft/tracker/player?draftyear=2009&id=24688">Percy Harvin</a> didn't make it on a podium until almost 3 p.m. Saturday.</p> <table border="0" cellspacing="4" cellpadding="0" width="203" align="right"> <tr> <td>&nbsp;</td> <td><img src="http://assets.espn.go.com/photo/2008/1204/ncf_g_pharvin1_200.jpg" alt="" width="200" height="300" /></td> </tr> <tr> <td>&nbsp;</td> <td align="left"><font size="1" style="line-height: 1em">Charles Sonnenblick/Getty Images</font></td> </tr> <tr> <td>&nbsp;</td> <td align="left"><font size="1" style="line-height: 1em"><strong>No one doubts Percy Harvin's play-making ability, but his injury history is worrisome.</strong></font></td> </tr> </table> <p>As he tries to allay teams' concerns about durability issues, Harvin said extensive tests on his fractured ankle and surgically repaired heel clogged up his Friday. He was officially 5-foot-11&frac34; and 194 pounds.</p> <p>"A lot of it came when I was in high school," Harvin said. "I had a heel injury that they didn't know about, they called it Haglund's deformity. Basically, I was tearing the bone away from my heel for a long time, a lot of people called it tendinitis. Through the years I kept tearing it and tearing it, finally when I got to college it kind of caught up with me. A lot of my injuries were due to that. As I got to my senior year we got it fixed and I didn't have any problems last year.</p> <p>He caught 133 passes in three years at Florida, for 1,929 yards and 13 touchdowns.</p> <p>He will meet with 22 teams here, so it would be overzealous to read too much into who they are, but he did say the Titans and the Colts were among them.</p> <p>Harvin will run a 40 tomorrow and already bench-pressed 225 pounds 20 times. He said repeatedly that questions about his route-running can be answered with looks at practice film as opposed to game film and will be thoroughly addressed at his pro day on March 18. He's confident teams will see him as a receiver who can do a lot of things, not a running back or some sort of tweener without a true position.</p> <p>Asked if he believed he's the most explosive player in the draft, he said he was.</p> <p>"I believe if I can get the ball in the open field, I can make a lot of things happen, I can make big plays," he said.</p> <p>I plan to hit on Harvin again Monday, with a more thorough look at him and how he might fit with Indianapolis or Tennessee.</p>

^About as good as Vince Young. If ALL You have is "big play ability", you probably wont pan out in the NFL.

That's a typo, Harvin is a running back. Oh wait he's not? Then why does he have more carries than catches in all but 5 of his games the past 2 seasons? And some of those 5 games are only a difference of 1.

harvin also did not run the route tree at the combine today. that's kind of important for a WR to do.

he also did not run well at the combine. barely making the forty in 4.4
he may slide if he does not improve that at his pro day

First of all the report doesn't jive with the nfl's combine site which listed him at 192 lbs and with 19 reps not 20. His 40 time was 4.41.
