Standards are lower. Just beating the Gators buys him another season though I expect to see some changes with his staff.

Is he THE guy they need? I don't think so. I see too many of the same undisciplined issues happening year in and year out.

This post and the one by @Fry are so sad.

Tennessee doesn't even see themselves as an elite program.

Bowl games are the modern success at Tennessee.

I live in Alabama so I see Tennessee through the lens of Alabama and Auburn expectations which are win a championship every year.

Unrealistic but they've both won and/or played for multiple titles in the last decade.

    That's the expectation.

He actually hasn't recruited all that well against the conference.

While he might have a top 10 or 15 class nationwide that is in the bottom half of the SEC.

Not only that, but rankings get inflated because he signs like 28 or 29 and a lot of other top 25'ish programs are signing 19-25.

The trouble might be that there are too many "Elite" programs.

And is Tennessee even a big state for recruiting? I have always thought they were more on that second tier of SEC teams with 'Bama, Florida and LSU on top. All those being states that produce a lot of talent. Out of the next Tier of teams Georgia probably would have an easier time breaking through as they have the players and population there.

    Obligatory:

SO, @Tennessy XO, who you gonna get that's better? Don't be like LSU, who had an entire year and TWO coaching searches to figure out who they wanted and end up with your d-line coach as the HC.

When I was still at UT and Butch just got there, I hated the hire.

I met him. He was weak, fake, all talk. Chump clown loser. Just like Dave Hart. Met that no talent ass clown too.

Knoxville is full of many unintelligent weak minded people. They are very gullible. If you ever want to convince a woman to sleep with you... just go to Knoxville.

It's like I was the only person who had the sense to see past Butch's bullsh*t. Just like when I was the only one who said the Seahawks would clown Peyton.

Good riddance, Knoxville. I'll never miss that dumpster fire.

Butch is not a champion of life. He is a loser.
