"Finnegan called the team’s defensive approach in 2013 “atrocious,” adding that former defensive coordinator Tim Walton was “in over [his] head” and that the defense struggled from “game plan to technique to fundamentals.”

"A source with knowledge of the team’s thinking tells PFT that the problem with Finnegan had far less to do with the coaching or the schemes and far more to do with Finnegan.
While Finnegan currently is saying all the right things in Miami, those who know him predict it’s simply a matter of time before he has issues with the coaching staff there — especially if he struggles and needs someone other than himself to blame for it."

Finnegan didn't have any issues with the Titans coaching did he?

It's very possible both the DC and Finnegan were to blame as they are both now gone.

Weren't QB's ratings near perfect when they threw to Finnegans side..?

But Fisher was also great at allowing his defenses to underperforme, so as TJ a said, it was both guys faults.

Finnegan sucks, anyway. sour grapes. Nice guy, and glad he was a Titan in his prime, but he sucks, currently.

Always seemed like an arrogant douchebag to me. I know he did some good things in the community and whatnot, but it's easy to do that stuff when you're rich and don't work 6 months out of the year.

I was never a big fan of him on the field anyway. Aside from one or two seasons he was more trouble than he was worth IMO. Sad that we were so devoid of talent during those years that he was the fan favorite.

I pretty much agree with everything. He is a nice guy off the field.. But he was an overachieving instigator punk on the field.

He benefitted from having a once-in-a-decade defense around him.. and his competition was 400 year old Nick Harper.

He made his household name by fighting with Andre Johnson. Not even from really being a good player. Once ESPN knows your name, you are already assigned "good player" status.

Once you start sucking on his level, very rarely do you ever go back to being a pro bowler lol.

Didn't the Rams lead the league in sacks?

Finnegan is an idiot. And he's done.

I was mad we tagged Griffin instead of Finny, but when I saw the Rams sign Finny to that 5 year/$50mil deal, I was so glad that wasn't us. Stupid Fisher. Idk how much was guaranteed, but I'm sure he's still making money from the Rams.
