What is your favorite era for music??
No-brainer.. 70's was the best and this decade has been the worst..
I will take 1980s Country Music. You had Everything that Glitters is not Gold, 16th Avenue, Leaving Louisiana in the Broad Daylight, Seven Year Ache, and a bunch of other good stuff by Randy Travis, Alabama, George Strait and others...
I definitely love the 70's... but not for the assumed reasons. I liked funk and soul, and a smattering of disco even though it was designed so white people could dance without stumbling on a tagged hit. I bought an Average White Band double CD just yesterday.
You ever check out the Original Raw Soul series? Fantastic stuff..
i'd go 90's as the best, but the drop-off from the 90's to now has been so significant i can't believe it.
BTW, kickass danny trejo avatar!
My new bud Joel Robinson painted that.. Dude is just killer.. has some mind blowing Vincent Price art..
I think everyone has a fondness for the music they grew up with, including me, which is why I picked the 90s.
What? No entry for big band music? Bah!
