I'm going to be doing the rookie draft for my fantasy league soon and here is some of the guys that are on my board (in no order) Mark Sanchez (QB) Matt Stafford (QB) Knoshaun Moreno (RB) Hakeem Nicks (WR) I'm in a dynasty league that starts a QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, WR/TE, Flex, DEF, DL, LB, and DB.... I've got Palmer, Romo, Garrard and Tyler Thigpen (who I'm trying to pawn off on an unsuspecting manager) at QB RB-assuming no major injuries, I'm doing fine (C. Johnson, Slaton, Westbrook, Turner, Jones-Drew) TE-Witten, Boss I'm leaning toward one of the QB, Moreno, and Nicks. Nicks value went up when Plex went down. Moreno--well, you can never have to many good RBs, and I'd like to nab a QB of the future
Nice squad. Must be a small league... I'd hold off on taking a QB this year. Next year's class will be loaded and you're deep enough to hold off for a year. RB: Rashad Jennings and LeSean McCoy are two rooks to also look out for. Jennings is in a great position to get some carries since the Jags are now shallow at RB. McCoy will get plenty of carries too as Westbrook is older and more fragile. I'd be willing to bet that McCoy has the biggest year of any rook RB. WR: Nicks is probably the best option, but don't overlook Harvin. They're going to be getting him the ball a lot. The only problem will be keeping him healthy. Also, keep an eye on Patrick Turner. They don't have a whole lot of talent at the wideout position in Miami, so he could get a decent amount of looks. I doubt he'd be draftable though. And don't forget about Kenny B! D: I'm targeting Laurinaitis in all of my IDP drafts. He's almost guaranteed the MLB job and should be a tackling machine. Just my .02.
It's a 10 team league. I have this roster for around 5ish years. didn't think about Laurinatis for IDP. I have Westbrook, but McCoy becomes an option if I can move Westbrook (who is 30, the year of death for RB) I think I can swing Britt as in the 3rd round or FA I have Jones-Drew, but Jennings becomes an option if J-D gets hurt With the flex position, I'm starting Romo at QB and Palmer at the Flex position, I'd like a QB or two for depth (I'm not sold on Garrard) and Thigpen won't be starting. Gonna try to make a move for Rodgers or Cassel
gotta love fantasy football! although the league manage isnt a keeper league, that way you get new players each year. kinda keeps it more interesting i think.
