That is beyond pathetic. I have no respect for that view at all!:moon2::moon2:

Nobody is going to ban you for saying the other team sucks. There has been an increase in drunken and violent behaivor and they want to stop that trend so this can be a family friendly sport.

    WTF is wrong with that?

This thread is like story time. I was at the Auburn-Clemson bowl game last year. I was with a bunch of Auburn fans and there was this one Clemson fan who kept talking trash for no reason. It was like a WTF moment. Then a couple of people told him to shut up. Then he was just jawing at everyone and there was some kids around. So when someone else told him to shut up he asked some stupid question about who wants me to shut up or something like that and all the Auburn fans stood up and security came and escorted the guy out later.

Just because you don't respect it doesn't make it any less true. Be realistic, going to an NFL game is not the same as going to a family event like:Disney, Seaworld, baseball or another no contact sport. To say so is disengenuous.

I come across as friendly and open in person as I do online so I would say that they would agree. I treat the rival fans like a little brother. I'm not personally hateful.. if whatever player of theirs blows a play or whatever I'll ask him what was he thinking or say something cliche or cheesy with a big **** eating grin on my face. Maximus, Puck, A.D., Riverman, Gunny, Hoffa, Broken Record, GoT, Ewker... I'm sure I am leaving someone out... anyways, all of those guys have been seated with me and anyone of them can attest to my good-natured cutting up.

I'll say it again- they need a standardized procedure for ejecting a fan or revoking PSL's. I say this because I have received a letter from LP Field stating if I didn't correct my behavior I could lose my PSL's. The letter included a list of prohibited conduct- very similar to the newly released league policy with the addition of stepping over seats. A couple of posters here have sat with me- they know I'm not threatening or obnoxious at all to others. But I got a letter nonetheless. I called to inquire what the offense was and they couldn't tell me who complained, what they complained about or even if the complaint had been validated by LP Field staff. Now- I have a significant bit of money (to me at least) invested in those PSL's. The only violation I could think of on that list was standing up during an important D stand and some old bag 3 rows bag yelling at me to sit down. I didn't do it.

Another thing- you can be targeted for whoever is in your seat. The current process does not even require that YOU be properly identified as the person committing the violation. It can be somebody in your seat- say if you give away or sell your tickets- or even somebody who just floated into your seat. THAT is how they identify you (or at least me in this case.)

Anyway- to clarify I totally agree that no patron should ever feel threatened and certainly should never be subjected to physical contact directly or indirectly with thrown objects. Profanities should be considered a violation and enforced. That would actually be more entertaining. There is nothing more dull than somebody jeering or cheering in a string of curse words. Nothing creative about that at all. But there MUST be a procedure to insure against frivilous or erroneous complaints against our home crowd team supporters. I haven't seen anything in ANY league statements that recommend or support those efforts.

Please, ROLLTIDE, for your sake - you may want to stray from saying things like "bubba excuses", "redneck", etc. Maybe you're not the posterchild for these types of comments, but your name says otherwise. Sorry. I've never met a single 'Bama fan that has come off as something other than.

And again - didn't you just contradict yourself completely? It's ok at a football/soccer match, but not at an NFL game?
And why are you stuck on this whole "hateful" and "unsafe" (LMAO) thing?

I know what we SHOULD do from here on - If you see a colts fan sitting in your area, report him before he reports you. Lie or not, we'll fight fire with fire. This conduct policy is so easy to manipulate - and that's the problem with it. I wonder how many people were ejected for joking around? I wonder how many were ejected just because some visiting fan is a douche-bag cry-baby and didn't like the playful smack talk?

You bet. If I'm there and see one get up, then someone in our area is ejected, I'm reporting THAT guy and he's gone soon after. Enjoy your trip home.

Related: State Basketball tourneys, we used to pick a side to sit with, and then cheer for the team they were playing. THAT was awesome. 2-3 guys would piss off about 200...laugh, as they yelled, and walk away.

Once though, we kept trashing this team, and their fans gave up. Tried to ignore us, but then some goofy white kid we kept clowning from their team made the game winning shot - The entire student crowd turned toward 2 guys and went Fing CRAZY! All we could do was smile and clap haha.

Did the same thing at all the football games. Always sat with the opposing team's fans and messed with them. We'd get their programs so we'd know all their players by name/number. And we'd mess with the players the whole time. "That your kid? He's TERRIBLE" haha Not sure how we didn't die, but sometimes I think begging for a beat-down has some sort of opposite result.

It must depend on where you sit. We were at that game as well, wearing Titans gear, with no problem. We sat in the section below where Mike Keith was calling the game -- it was weird not hearing him on the radio, but through that open window.

One reason we weren't bothered might have been the weather -- remember how much it rained just before, and some during, the game? Maybe that calmed everyone down a bit.

The language was a LOT worse the next night at the Red Sox game.
